June 5, 2006—The Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate (OCSRE) has announced that Yardi Systems has joined the organization as an Executive Member.
Yardi Systems is a global leader in the design, development and support of complete software solutions for property and asset management. Since 1984, Yardi has offered a suite of advanced technology options for multinational corporations of all sizes in the residential and commercial real estate markets. Today, there are more than 5 billion square feet of commercial space and 5 million residential units managed using the Yardi solution.
OSCRE was created to develop interoperable data standards for the Real Estate industry and to bring together the various Standards Development Organizations (SDO) across the real estate continuum. The mission of OSCRE is the development, synthesis, and adoption of e-business standards that enable the real estate industry to function effectively and efficiently in the new economy.
Executive Membership is the highest level of involvement in the standards organization. Executive members participating in the Executive Committee meet regularly to set out OSCRE’s policy, including the priorities for the maintenance and development of standards. Additionally, it instructs the Board of Directors on the Business Plan and provides resources to support the organizations Workgroups.
