Zep products to maintain New York Stock Exchange “floor”
In addition to the new product announcement, Zep Inc. announced that it is supplying a broad array of products to the New York Stock Exchange to help care for “the floor” of the world’s leading equities market, one of America’s iconic landmarks and the site of 30 daily global financial news broadcasts.
The New York Stock Exchange, designed in the neoclassic style by iconic architect, George B. Post, opened in 1903. Named a National Historic Landmark in 1978, it has stood for over a century as America’s preeminent financial institution; the NYSE Euronext’s markets presently account for one-third of the world’s equities trading. When it opened, the trading floor was one of the grandest spaces in the nation, measuring 109 by 140 feet, with seven-story marble walls supporting an ornate gilt ceiling with a 30-foot square skylight, and one of the world’s first commercial air conditioning systems.
Zep Inc. is a leading consumable chemical packaged goods company that manufactures a wide variety of high-performance maintenance and cleaning chemicals that help professionals and “prosumers” clean, maintain and protect their assets. The company focuses on the transportation market and the industrial maintenance and repair operation (MRO) market. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and founded in 1937, some of Zep Inc.’s brands have been in existence since 1896. The company says its goal is “to help businesses look and perform at their best while keeping their employees and the environment safe.”
