ASHRAE Decarbonization Conference 2024: Decarbonizing Existing Tall Buildings

ASHRAE Decarbonization Conference 2024The ASHRAE Decarbonization Conference 2024 will be an information and idea exchange between stakeholders in the built environment industry concerning the timely and important topic of reducing carbon emissions from existing buildings in cold climates. The focus of the conference will be replicable decarbonization technical solutions for existing large and tall buildings, where the construction density makes this sector one of the most difficult to decarbonize. The conference will highlight substantial global activities, research driving decarbonization demonstrations, and technical and financial case studies for large building solutions.

The conference will offer over 30 seminars and panels to attendees, as well as the following Keynote presentations.

  • Lessons from New York City’s Building Decarbonization Policies, featuring Rohit Aggarwala, New York City Chief Climate Officer and Commissioner of Environmental Protection, and Fiona Cousins, President, CIBSE, Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers
  • New York: Advancing Tall Building Decarbonization, featuring Doreen Harris, President, New York State Energy Research & Development Authority

With over 50,000 members from over 132 nations, ASHRAE is a diverse organization dedicated to advancing the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world.
