by Brianna Crandall — March 4, 2016—With today’s employees desiring greater flexibility in the workplace, even in their everyday task chairs, and varying desk heights becoming more common, international furniture designer Teknion recently introduced the Sabrina Swivel Stool, a modern mesh-back task chair that functions at varying desk heights and offers users flexibility and comfort.
Innovative and classically elegant, the design-savvy chair, which is part of Teknion’s Sabrina series of chairs, provides multiple posture ranges and can be used for traditional drafting, counter-height, and some bar-height surface applications.
Designed to be visually sculptural in frame and profile, the chair features a ring-shaped backrest for both fix and flex comfort. The inner ring provides support and backward bending for the body’s natural position, while the outer frame gently twists, adding an element of flexibility, says the company. The fit and flex back allow the center frame to firmly support the user when sitting, while the slide frame permits passive turning right and left as the user twists or flexes.
The chair features a swivel mechanism with limited tilt, back, plus an upscale, all-aluminum height-adjustable foot ring, and a seat-height adjustment range of 8 inches, from 21 to 29 inches.
Sabrina Chairs are equipped with unique adjustment features, including a reclining tension adjustment that increases or reduces the resistance of the chair back while reclining. Other features include a tilt lock, arm-height adjuster, arm-pad adjuster, lumbar support, and seat-depth and -height adjusters. Chairs come with the option of a mesh headrest.
