3M launches low-emission aerosols and spray adhesives

by Shane Henson — September 12, 2011—3M Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Division recently announced the launch of new Low VOC Aerosols and 3M Hi-Strength 94 ET Spray Adhesives. These products have up to a 50 percent reduction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and are also Greenguard Children & Schools Certified, making them an ideal choice for facilities personnel in educational and other settings in need of aerosols and spray adhesives that have been proven not to harm occupants’ health and are more environmentally friendly than comparable products.

According to 3M, users of the existing 3M Scotch-Weld Hi-Strength Postforming 94 CA Spray Adhesive will find added benefits in the new 3M Hi-Strength 94 ET Spray Adhesive. This product offers higher tack for easier bonding, an increased bonding range, and more versatility in substrate bonding to soft foams, lighter weight materials and more porous surfaces.

3M Hi-Strength 94 ET Spray Adhesive is available in aerosol, cylinder, and bulk versions, while 3M Scotch-Weld Hi-Strength Postforming 94 CA Spray Adhesive remains available in both cylinders and bulk. Both 3M Scotch-Weld Hi-Strength Postforming 94 CA Spray Adhesive and 3M Hi-Strength 94 ET Spray Adhesive are low VOC and meet the most stringent air quality regulations in the United States.
