by AF 0716a — July 18, 2008—The lightweight Adgility XP backpack vacuums from Advance offer new levels of comfort, quiet, productivity and affordability for multi-surface cleaning in close quarters, according to the company. The Adgility XP features an ergonomically designed, cushioned harness that distributes the weight more evenly and higher on the back than traditional backpack vacuums, says Advance. The design allows the unit to move more fluidly with the operator, increasing comfort and cleaning productivity while reducing fatigue.

Independent testing by Swedens Tv Ergonomer testing bureau confirms that the Adgility XPs harness design results in significantly less operator fatigue and 10 percent greater productivity than other backpacks it tested.

Both the Adgility 6XP and the Adgility 10XP feature a 1300 watt motor that moves 144 cubic feet of air per minute, yet produces a sound level of only 62 dB A. This low sound level reduces operator fatigue and makes the Adgility XP quiet enough to use any time of day without fear of disturbing building occupants, according to Advance.

The Adgility XP comes standard with four levels of filtering plus an optional HEPA filter that removes 99.97% of dust particles down to 0.3 microns. That performance has earned the Adgility XP the Carpet and Rug Institute Seal of Approval for cleaning effectiveness. For cleaner dust disposal, the SaniSea self-sealing dust bag has an adhesive rim that folds to keep dust inside the bag.

Also contributing to operator comfort is the design of the air discharge—back and away from the operator, eliminating a constant blast of warm air on the lower extremities. This design also allows the Adgility XP to continue operating even if the machine is temporarily set down on a floor or another surface. Standard tools include a two-piece aluminum wand, Quick-Glide floor tool, upholstery tool, dusting brush and crevice tool.
