by Brianna Crandall — May 25, 2012—The American Institute of Architects (AIA), the DC-based voice of the architecture profession across the nation and in numerous countries around the world, recently announced the addition of six new documents to its popular Documents-on-Demand service, which for nearly four years has offered PC, MAC and tablet users easy access to AIA industry-standard Contract Documents’ cost-effective contracts anytime and anywhere they have Internet access.
The latest additions, which bring the total number of documents available to 98, cover aspects of every common project delivery method the building industry uses to support construction and design projects, says AIA. The Documents-on-Demand service has reportedly become the popular choice for anyone needing a quick standard agreement or form for a project.
Sandra Betts, Contract Administrator with construction firm DeaMor Associates, Inc., notes, “‘User-friendly’ is the first phrase that comes to mind when I think about Documents-on-Demand. The process of purchasing, downloading and completing the documents is always an effortless experience.”
The following documents have been added to AIA Documents-on-Demand:
- A141—2004, Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Design-Builder
- A142—2004, Standard Form of Agreement Between Design-Builder and Contractor
- A441—2008, Standard Form of Agreement Between Contractor and Subcontractor for a Design-Build Project
