NeoCon: See how this flooring resists scratches, stains, and scuffs — and doesn’t need transition strips to meet carpeting

by Brianna Crandall — July 22, 2020 — Armstrong Flooring, a designer and manufacturer of innovative flooring solutions, recently announced the launch of Unbound with Diamond 10 Technology. Unbound is a 5.0 mm luxury vinyl tile (LVT) product designed for seamless transitions to carpet in adjoining spaces, eliminating the need for transition strips. The vinyl flooring can be installed quickly with a loose lay method, thanks to its non-skid backing.

Unbound is available in 27 sophisticated colors and designs. The collection includes a variety of wood, concrete, and textile visuals in large formats: 9” x 59” and 7” x 59” planks and 36” x 36” tiles.

Di Anna Borders, vice president, Design, remarked:

The Unbound collection offers an easy, intentional color palette inspired by natural dyes. A selection of hickory and time-worn oak finishes offer a complementary contrast to softened concretes and woven textures ideal for a variety of spaces.

Unbound features Diamond 10 Technology, a patented innovation that uses cultured diamonds to provide scratch, stain, and scuff resistance. It’s a low-maintenance solution designed to stand up to the wear and tear of commercial settings for floors that look newer, longer.

The vinyl flooring comes with a 20-year Commercial Limited Warranty when installed in accordance with the recommended Armstrong Flooring adhesive and instructions. An additional 10 years of overall warranty coverage is available by using the Strong System collection of subfloor preparation products.
