by Brianna Crandall — December 7, 2015—As a trusted manufacturer of propane floor machines, Philadelphia-based Aztec Products has developed what it says may be a game-changer in the concrete, vinyl composition tile (VCT) and wood floor machine industry.

The new Refresher machine, powered with environmentally friendly propane, uniquely combines daily maintenance with the ability to strip old finish, polish concrete and burnish floors.

The new propane-powered Refresher uniquely combines daily maintenance with the ability to strip old finish, polish concrete and burnish floors.

With rugged all-steel construction and premium bearings and bearing seals throughout, The Refresher features 330 lbs. of head pressure and a sealed planetary drive to eliminate shadowing and side torque, with positive drive synchronous belt to eliminate slip and increase durability.

With a standard 8-gallon water tank, the machine offers dust control capability and an adaptor port for active vacuum.

The Aztec Refresher comes with three sets of driver heads / brushes (pictured here):

  • One set of three strip brushes for removing old floor finish;
  • One set of three Velcro drivers for resin bond, hybrid and ceramic diamonds; and
  • One set of three Mighty-Lok drivers for 10” burnishing or diamond pads.

Refresher comes with three sets of driver heads / brushes for stripping, polishing and burnishing.

Each set of driver heads / brushes is designed with a lug system for “quick-change” mounting and dismounting on the job.

The low-profile Refresher fits under an 8″ shelf. Aztec says the machine consistently exceeds the equipment expectations of distributors, floor contractors, educational institutions, and retail facilities, and has earned several green certifications: EPA, CARB, LEED, CE and GS-42.
