Together the two companies have provided intelligent building services for more than 30 buildings across Australia, including the Melbourne Hotel, Cockburn Operations Centre, and Flinders Centre Bankstown. This experience combined with BuildingIQ’s 5i platform of technology-enabled services for new building management system (BMS) and retrofit projects translates to lower costs and increased efficiency throughout the build process, and the benefits will transfer to North America and beyond.

BuildingIQ helps building owners and operators worldwide lower energy use, increase building operations efficiency and enhance tenant comfort. The company’s 5i cloud-based platform and managed services are designed to deliver on the promise of Internet of Things (IoT) for buildings with none of the drawbacks. By pushing data storage, analysis, diagnosis, and asset information into the cloud, BuildingIQ creates a central knowledge platform that minimizes much of the risk and guesswork of implementing a BMS or major retrofit project.

BuildingIQ 5i services for the greenfield and retrofit market include full life-cycle project management, work order and asset management, data-driven testing and commissioning, and Outcome-based Fault Detection throughout the defects and liability phase (DLP) of a building’s launch. Exiting DLP, buildings can transition to full-time predictive energy optimization with minimal additional requirements, says the company.
