Concord line of site furniture designed jointly by Robert A.M. Stern Designs and Landscape Forms

by Ann Withanee — February 18, 2011—Landscape Forms has introduced Concord, a collection of site furniture elements created in collaboration with Robert A.M. Stern Designs.

Concord marries the aesthetic vision and design mastery of the acclaimed New York-based architecture and design practice with the development, engineering and manufacturing expertise of North America’s largest designer and manufacturer of site furniture, notes Landscape Forms.

Concord is a collection of elements related in form, scale and materials and individual in expression and detail. The Concord collection consists of:

• Melville, a graceful bench with or without back, handsome and tailored. End frames rise above the seat then flare gently outward. The elegant curved backrest has a formal quality softened by its low height, which enables people to lean into the curve and rest their arms along the bench’s top edge. Both benches are available in varying lengths, have cast aluminum frames and supports, and offer seat panels in wood or aluminum.
  
• Poe, a litter and recycling receptacle boasting a refinement in profile and structural detail that belies its humble function with a 34 gallon capacity and heavy-duty cast and extruded aluminum construction.
  
• Hawthorne, a three-foot-tall pathway light that spreads as it rises from its base to house a 7-watt LED luminaire with sealed cartridge and thermoformed lens.
  
• Alcott, a 12-foot-tall pedestrian light, it is the contemporary interpretation of a traditional lamppost that presents a similarly curved form. It houses an LED luminaire with an IP66 sealed cartridge component and thermoformed lens. Alcott offers a choice of Type 3 (65 watt) or Type 5 (130 watt) light distribution.
  
• Emerson, a bike rack tapered from top to bottom with crisp edges and beveled detail. Made of cast aluminum it has concealed hardware, pre-installed steel leveling guides, and meets APBP guidelines.
