by Brianna Crandall — February 17, 2012—Dauphin North America, a provider of innovative furnishings for dynamic spaces worldwide, has just announced that they have received BIFMA “Level” sustainability certification on all of their Dauphin brand products from the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers’ Association (BIFMA), “The Industry Voice for Workplace Solutions.”
Dauphin’s Level certification covers a variety of offerings such as seating, occasional tables, lounge furnishings, bar tables and stools to meet the changing needs of clients. Level’s Certified Products page contains a list of all Dauphin North America-certified products, along with photos and the sustainability level the product reached out of a possible three.
“We at Dauphin North America are proud of our environmental accomplishments and understand it’s an ongoing journey to be ecologically responsible”, states COO, Stuart Rogers-Brown. “This monumental achievement signifies Dauphin North America’s commitment to sustainability and our dedication to meet clients’ demands for products manufactured in a safe, clean, and environmentally friendly atmosphere. In addition to the BIFMA Level Certification, Dauphin North America will continue to manufacture all of our products in a sound, environmentally friendly manner and ensure that our company continuously improves and develops both healthy and safe environmental procedures.”
BIFMA’s Level is the multi-attribute, sustainability standard and third-party certification program for the furniture industry. It has been created to deliver the most open and transparent means of evaluating and communicating the environmental and social impacts of furniture products in the built environment. Level takes into account a company’s social actions, energy usage, material selection, and human and ecosystem health impacts, addressing how a product is sustainable from multiple perspectives. The assessment was conducted by LGA, an approved BIFMA third-party certifier.
Dauphin North America provides adaptive furniture solutions designed to enable people to thrive and connect in today’s interactive environments. Since its founding in 1969, Dauphin has pursued a commitment to healthy posture by offering products which embody the concept of health and safety in the office, leading to its growth to a $200-million enterprise recognized worldwide.
