DayStrong buys vulcanized roll for carpets from Oerlikon Accotex Texparts

by AF 0926 i3 — September 29, 2008—Newly formed DayStrong Rubber Products has purchased the vulcanized roll and ribbon roll covering businesses from Oerlikon Accotex Texparts.

DayStrong’s primary roll application is the vulcanization of rolls used on Superba heat-set machines for the carpet industry. The ribbon roll covering products are made of PVC, rubber, or a blend of cork and rubber to provide friction on steel rolls for textile and other applications.

DayStrong will continue to operate in the same facility in Mauldin, SC, and employ current associates and manufacturing processes. DayStrong will operate under the same management team as in the past with Gordon Culler serving as CEO, Scott Walton serving as COO, and Keith Crowe serving as CFO.
