by Jbs083110 f3 — September 3, 2010—The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Green Power Partnership is again hosting the College and University Green Power Challenge for the 2010-11 academic year. All U.S. colleges and universities are eligible to participate.

Schools will join their collegiate athletic conferences to compete for the Champion Green Power Conference title (conference with the highest combined green purchasers), and also the individual title for the largest single purchasers within each participating conference.

To be listed, a conference must have at least one Green Power Partner and an aggregate green power purchase of at least 10,000,000 kWh across the conference.

The next update to the 2010-11 College and University Green Power Challenge is scheduled for October 2010, and the yearlong results will be announced in the spring of 2011.
