by Brianna Crandall — July 3, 2019 — Industrial LED lighting solutions manufacturer Flex Lighting Solutions recently introduced the new CH1 Series, a range of high-bay lighting LED fixtures with features contractors and facilities managers (FMs) value: quality, reliability and performance in a cost-effective design. The CH1 Series takes the company’s award-winning technology from the Essentials Series 4.0 and puts it into a more value-centered platform.
Suitable for high-bay lighting applications such as in manufacturing and industrial facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, airport hangars and indoor sports facilities, the CH1 Series has a lumen range of 6,000 to 35,000 lumens with an efficacy up to 171 lumens per watt, plus an ultra-long life with an L70 up to 201,000 hours.
With the option of two, four or six light-emitting diode (LED) modules, these fixtures can be configured to meet practically all lighting needs.
The CH1 Series is designed to be user-friendly. It provides a quick and easy installation with multiple mounting options, easy access to the wiring compartment without tools, and various knockouts to provide higher flexibility for wiring and upgrading with new sensors or control systems.
Mark Stranczek, product manager at Flex Lighting Solutions, commented:
We are excited about the new CH1, as it provides our award-winning performance in a more value-oriented package. Bringing the technology and engineering expertise of our Essentials Series into the CH1 allows us to provide a high performing fixture at a great price. Many of the applications we see are conditioned spaces, so this product complements our existing Essentials Series, which is built for higher ambient temperatures.
Flex Lighting Solutions says it has upped the ante in product life and warranty. The company starts by reporting its life data (via TM-21) at both 25°C (lab conditions) and at the max ambient of the fixture (real-world conditions). Flex Lighting Solutions follows this up by standing behind its products with a five-year L70 warranty. If the light output drops below 70 percent within the first five years, the company replaces the product.
According to the company, the CH1 Series delivers exceptionally long life and reliability, as continued performance over time is critical for industrial and commercial applications. Calculated L70 (25°C) life is 201,000 hours with a projected lumen output of 89 percent after 10 years. At 45°C ambient temperature, the calculated L70 is 183,000 hours, with a projected lumen output of 87 percent after 10 years (24/7/365).
The CH1 Series is available in 3500K, 4000K and 5000K color temperature options with clear, frosted and aisle lens options available. The CH1 Series offers a wide selection of cords and control systems, emergency battery backup, and the option to upgrade from the standard 6KV to a 10KV surge protector.
