by AF 0208 h3 — February 15, 2010 — Herman Miller is continuing its longstanding involvement in the demountable wall business with the announcement of a new alliance with Trainor Modular Walls, a division of Trainor Glass Company.

Trainor Modular Walls produces modular full-height walls, doors and hardware, which will be distributed exclusively through Herman Miller’s North American dealer network beginning February 8, 2010.

Trainor Glass Company, a privately held family business now in its second generation of leadership, was established in 1953 by Robert Trainor Sr. Its modular wall division is built on Trainor’s more than 40 years of industry experience, complemented by a large multi-regional manufacturing and service capability, which makes the company an ideal alliance partner for Herman Miller, according to Mary Stevens, Senior Vice President of Product Management.
