by Shane Henson — January 3, 2014—Through a new video released by Humantech, ergonomic improvement experts, those interested in learning more about how to leverage ergonomics to improve the working life of manufacturing employees can do so faster and easier.
The video educates viewers on The Humantech System, an all-in-one solution for managing ergonomics in industrial environments. According to the company, employees traditionally spend days in a classroom learning the principles of ergonomics with the hope of implementing fixes once they return to their workplace. With The Humantech System, employees can watch a series of ergonomics e-learning modules at their own pace, then work alongside Humantech’s experts at the job site to complete real-time risk assessments and workplace improvements.
The Humantech System enables organizations to combine online training and assessment tools, expert-led site improvement events, and a powerful management database, so they can deploy, monitor, and manage the ergonomics process, whether at one or hundreds of locations.
The Humantech System has three main components:
- Learn—Online Training: With access to six online training modules covering everything from principles of ergonomics to ergonomic design guidelines, users can select the most appropriate module(s) to view or review.
- Do—The Job Improvement Process: Upon completing the online training, users will work alongside the company’s certified professional ergonomists to assess and improve problem jobs using the tools provided by The Humantech System.
- Manage—Data and Reporting: Ergonomics process owners can monitor the activities of the ergonomics team, track the status of improvement plans, and generate reports to support decision making.
