ISS to provide facilities management and catering for Barclays Bank worldwide

by Shane Henson — July 6, 2012—ISS, a global provider of facility services, was recently awarded a contract estimated to be in the hundreds of millions of pounds with U.K.-based Barclays Bank, a major international financial services provider. Per the contract, ISS will oversee and deliver facilities management services and catering to Barclays operations in the U.K., Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

This new partnership will deliver an integrated FM platform across these Barclays locations. To support this, ISS says it will design and implement a new management information system, “In-sight@ISS,” that allows information to be collated, reviewed and analyzed on a global basis to inform and support management decisions. This system will provide Barclays and ISS with real-time data on the performance of the Bank’s global FM services, ISS asserts.

“We are extremely proud and excited that Barclays has chosen ISS for this groundbreaking new partnership within the global facility management industry. We are very much looking forward to working with Barclays to further develop the agreed services and the partnership in the years to come,” said Jeff Gravenhorst, group CEO for ISS A/S.
