by Brianna Crandall — April 24, 2015—Global facilities services provider ISS has won or expanded outsourcing contracts in various countries in recent weeks, including the following.
Czech Republic
ISS Czech Republic retained its partnership with one of Europe’s five leading electricity and gas companies, RWE, in Bohemia, and also extended it to the region of Moravia, so the company is now the exclusive service provider for RWE in the Czech Republic.
ISS won the tender for providing integrated facility services (IFS) for RWE in the Czech Republic and will become an exclusive facility services provider to RWE’s 128 locations with 520 buildings as of April 1, 2015.
Services will be provided through an IFS solution, where the backbone is cleaning services, property services, outside cleaning and landscaping, but also services as energy management, technical audits, pest control, etc. After this contract expansion, a total number of 180 ISS employees will provide services to RWE.
RWE expressed its satisfaction with ISS in March at its annual RWE Suppliers and Partners conference by awarding ISS the “Strategic Partner of 2014” in the field of non-core RWE business.
Chile
ISS Chile was awarded an IFS contract by Codelco for its corporate headquarters in Santiago, to provide cleaning, security, maintenance, pest control, and support services, adding 75 full-time employees.
Codelco is reportedly the world’s largest copper producer. ISS Chile currently offers security and cleaning services in several divisions within the company, employing a total of 458 people.
