ISSA-TV: Engaging the Millennial Workforce
The latest ISSA-TV video asks, “Are you ready for Gen Y? Why not?” In the Quick Clip, sales-management consultant Tina Serio reveals the secrets to attracting, training, and retaining Millennials—and why a company cannot afford not to. Tina Serio is president of Sonic Train, LLC, and the creator of Sonic Train’s The Arena, a social, mobile, and competitive gamification platform. Serio has more than 15 years of management experience in the jansan industry.
ISSA-TV: Let the LEED Rating System Drive the Wagon
The free video for the week of April 16 asks, “Is Version 4 of the U.S. Green Building Council’s green building rating system a boon or a bane? In the Quick Clip, green cleaning consultant Steve Ashkin explains how the upcoming changes in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design—or LEED v4—rating system offers some unique opportunities, especially for Cleaning Industry Management Standard-Green Building (CIMS-GB) -certified companies. Steve Ashkin is a 28-year veteran of the professional cleaning industry. He is president of The Ashkin Group, a consulting firm specializing in the green cleaning process, and executive director of the Green Cleaning Network. Ashkin is the co-author of The Business of Green Cleaning and Green Cleaning for Dummies.

ISSA-TV: Get Safe Out in the Open
The free Quick Clip for the week of March 11 asks, “How can your organization achieve a safe work environment?” In the video, OSHA Outreach Trainer and ISSA Certification Expert (I.C.E.) John Poole, Jr., reveals three key steps to ensuring employees—and the business—are safe. John M. Poole, Jr., Master REH, RBSM, ASHM, I.C.E., is an ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) assessor and authorized Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) outreach trainer. In addition, Poole is a National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) walkway auditor safety specialist. He is currently a senior consultant at the American Institute for Cleaning Sciences.
