by AF 1008 j3 — October 9, 2009—Milliken & Company announced completion of the acquisition of Constantine LLC, effective October 6. Based in Calhoun, Ga., Constantine designs, manufactures and markets broadloom and modular carpet tile, as well as resilient and hard surface flooring.
Constantine operates four manufacturing locations as well as a distribution center, all within the Calhoun area. In total, approximately 300 associates are joining Milliken & Company’s Floor Covering Division following the acquisition.
By acquiring Constantine, Milliken broadens its floor covering portfolio of products for commercial specifiers in the architectural and design community. The move by Milliken follows several months of strategic organizational and product alignment.
