Under the agreement, MSS will provide the company with mechanical services across 80 office buildings in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester.
MSS has been working with the commercial property owners since 2007 when it was appointed to handle the maintenance of an air conditioning system at an office site in Manchester.
Since then the contract has expanded into a planned preventative maintenance program for more than 95 percent of Bruntwood’s managed property portfolio, equating to more than 5.5 million square feet, covering all heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. MSS delivers each aspect of a building lifecycle including design, installation, maintenance and refurbishment.
MSS also provides a range of additional services to help the company exceed legislative requirements for building management. This has included advice, support and data collection for gas safety assessments and compliance, F-Gas compliance, air conditioning inspections, and Energy Performance Certificates.
The two companies will also work in partnership to develop a new concept aimed at reducing energy consumption, reactive maintenance, extending equipment life cycles, and promoting environmental best practice across all sites.
