by AF 0621 h3 — June 23, 2010—Haworth won Gold for its Very Conference seating and Silver for its Very Task Chair in The Best of NeoCon product competition held during NeoCon World’s Trade Fair at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago, in June. The Very seating family was displayed in the Haworth showroom at the Mart, along with the company’s Gold-winning movable wall system (see separate story).

Very conference chairs, designed by the Haworth Design Studio, are suited to settings from formal to contemporary, says the company. The breathable, perforated back can be left bare or upholstered. Either way, they are designed to automatically recline for optimum user comfort.

Silver-winning Very Task chairs are available in several options, including fixed arms.

The Very Task chair is all about science-led comfort. Characteristics include a broad appeal, wide range of application, sustainability, wide-ranging scope of color, and variety of options. Very Task was designed by Michael Welsh and Nicolai Czumaj-Bront of the Haworth Design Studio.

Haworth’s Very family also offers Seminar, Side, and Wire Stacking chairs, for a consistent aesthetic throughout a space.

Sponsors of The Best of NeoCon product competition are Contract Magazine, IIDA (International Interior Design Association); IFMA (International Facility Management Association); MMPI (The Merchandise Mart); McMorrow Report.
