by AF 0609 d3 — June 14, 2010—Herman Miller, Inc. is introducing a line of tables to meet a range of workplace and learning space needs. Called Everywhere tables, they are created from a simple kit of parts that provides an array of near universal solutions with a cohesive aesthetic, says the company.

The tables will be displayed throughout Herman Miller’s third floor showroom during NeoCon World’s Trade Fair at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart, June 14-16, 2010.

Everywhere tables are part of Herman Miller’s Desking and Tables offering, and were designed by Dan Grabowski to blend with any environment. They integrate technology and accommodate mobility and flexibility, providing people with choices when transitioning from collaborative and community spaces to personal workspaces, says the company.

The tables are offered in a range of more than 90 products. Their configurations, sizes, shapes, and leg features are unified in fit and finish to integrate with any environment or application, including education and training, small conferencing, height adjustability in workstations, café and lounge areas.

The tables were designed and developed according to Herman Miller’s Design for the Environment (DfE) protocol, emphasizing safe materials, recycled content and ease of disassembly. They are up to 72 percent recycled content and they are up to 30 recyclable. They also carry a 12-year, 3-shift warranty, says the company. They are being evaluated for McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC) “Cradle to Cradle” certification, BIFMA level certification, and GREENGUARD certification.

Herman Miller, Inc., a pioneer in sustainable architecture and interiors, has added ecoScorecard to its tools and resources that assist architects and interior designers in building green. Demonstrated during NeoCon, ecoScorecard is a free Web-based technology platform that gives product manufacturers the ability to provide environmental information and sustainability documentation about products for all major third-party rating systems.
