by AF 0621 a3 — June 30, 2010—Karastan Contract, a brand of The Mohawk Group, has introduced the Covet product line, in which Insatiable and Euphoric come together with the collection’s three modular tufted patterns (Forever Envy, Ultimate Temptation and Completely Charmed) to evoke a cohesive sense of luxury and sophistication.

Covet and a full range of other broadlooms and carpet tiles were displayed at the company’s showroom during NeoCon World’s Trade Fair at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago, in June.

Blending high-luster and low-luster yarns, Covet’s Insatiable and Euphoric patterns feature higher twist levels than traditional woven carpet, says the company. A unique tonal look is achieved with its bright multicolor skein-dyed yarns.

Constructed though Karastan Contract’s time-honored weaving techniques, the products are built to last, and by using less nylon in their manufacture, they can perform up to three times longer than other carpet construction — maximizing carpet investment and minimizing the burden on the environment.

Continuing The Mohawk Group’s longstanding dedication to sustainability, Covet’s products are CRI Green Label Plus certified and recommended adhesives meet the most stringent rules for VOC emissions. With superior strength against delamination and edge ravel, the durability of Covet’s woven products ensures that the carpet stays in use and out of the recycling stream longer. Yet, when they reach the end of their useful life, the products can be reclaimed and recycled through the company’s ReCover program. The Covet Collection is covered by a lifetime warranty.
