by AF 0920 c3 — September 23, 2009—Parsons is pleased to announce that NASA Goddard Space Flight Center has selected its facilities, construction, engineering, and technical services (FaCETS) contract team to receive the 2009 Goddard Contractor Excellence Award in the Large Business Service category.
Located in Greenbelt, Maryland, NASA Goddard has 33 major buildings on a 1,200-acre campus with more than 2.6 million square feet of laboratories, computer centers and clean rooms interspersed with office, support, maintenance, and institutional facilities. Parsons began providing services to NASA Goddard in 1995, and it won the 10-year, follow-on FaCETS contract in 2000. The contract expanded Parson’s role to include construction and information technology support. Parsons has been providing facilities management services at NASA Goddard for more than nine years
The Goddard Contractor Excellence Award Committee has also nominated Parsons to be considered for the NASA-wide George M. Low Award, which is an award for quality and excellence in services provided.
