Pro Clean achieves first CIMS-GB certification in Florida, 11th nationwide

by Jbs012710 j3 — January 29, 2010—Pro Clean Building Maintenance, Inc., has achieved Cleaning Industry Management Standard Green Building (CIMS-GB) certification with honors, a national certification awarded through the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) that applies to the management, operations, performance systems and delivery of environmentally preferable green cleaning services.

Pro Clean is the first cleaning company in the state of Florida to become CIMS-GB certified. Currently, there are 52 CIMS-certified organizations nationally, of which only 11 have achieved Green Building Certification.

As part of the certification process, an independent, accredited assessor conducted on-site reviews of Pro Clean’s systems, processes and documentation. The assessor also visited and interviewed randomly selected Pro Clean customers to ensure that the company’s activities are consistent with its documented systems and processes.

Don Zerivitz, Pro Clean president, says the company wanted a nationally recognized certification of true green cleaning processes. According to Zerivitz, “CIMS is similar to ISO certification within the manufacturing industry. It proves that we have the systems and standards in place to provide exemplary service. It also allows us to add value to our service without raising our prices.”
