Shaw Group awarded environmental and restoration services contract from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

by Shane Henson — January 18, 2012—The Shaw Group Inc., a provider of engineering, construction, technology, fabrication, remediation and support services, was recently selected to provide environmental and restoration services for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Louisville District. Louisville, one of the Corps’ more diverse districts, has both a civil works and military construction mission.

The scope of work includes munitions response and hazardous, toxic and radioactive waste project services. Shaw’s team will perform remedial investigations and actions, environmental analysis and compliance, ecosystem restoration, environmental dredging, operation and maintenance, and emergency response activities to support the Corps’ environmental projects.

According to Shaw’s leadership, the company was awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, and the contract includes a two-year base period and four two-year options.
