by Brianna Crandall — June 10, 2013—Trendway Corporation is introducing Feek North America, a “uniquely creative” approach to space, form and function for interior design, to the North American contract furniture market. Originating in the Netherlands, Feek products and custom solutions have been specified by architectural and design firms across Europe and reside in the interiors of major corporations. Partnering with founders Eltjo Klomp and Frederik van Heereveld, Trendway will now manufacture Feek NA products in Holland, Michigan.
Feek products are created from polyurethane foam, coated by a special process to produce a textured and comfortable skin. The many fun, colorful shapes are surprisingly lightweight while maintaining resilience and performance, notes Trendway. With 100 percent recyclable foam and 60 percent air by volume, Feek products reportedly offer impressive comfort and style with minimal material usage.
Conceived by Feek co-founder and internationally recognized designer van Heereveld, freestanding and architecturally integrated elements have been specified for European environments from universities to museums, healthcare to corporate offices. Shapes are designed to easily blend to create unique and appealing collaborative environments. Described as whimsical and cool, Feek reportedly stands up to the demands of public spaces.
Available in an appealing palette of colors, the introductory Feek Fundamentals collection offers a large selection of standard furniture elements, including several designed by van Heereveld exclusively for Trendway. However, the custom possibilities are reportedly almost limitless. Using CAD capabilities, the base material can be shaped into almost any form imaginable, with no non-recycled waste. Combined with custom color options, Feek presents a blank canvas on which designers can create unique, memorable statements for every kind of interior.
