by Brianna Crandall — February 18, 2011—The National Center of Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) Introduction to Solar Photovoltaic course has been approved as high-quality green building education by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) after a third-party review.
With its approval by USGBC, Introduction to Solar Photovoltaic will now help LEED Professionals satisfy their Credentialing Maintenance Program requirements from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Introduction to Solar Photovoltaic is worth 40 GBCI CE hours by USGBC.
As a USGBC Education Provider, NCCER has already earned approval for Sustainable Construction Supervisor, Your Role in the Green Environment, and four HVAC modules. Education Providers are third-party organizations that offer top-notch and relevant green building education and training that has been peer-reviewed and approved by USGBC.
