by Brianna Crandall — August 31, 2013—During the first half of 2013, training and consultancy services provider Workplace Law conducted its second annual research study into the value that great facilities management delivers and how those working in the FM sector today can go beyond compliance and deliver real business value to their clients and stakeholders.
A number of focus groups were conducted, and 242 survey responses gathered. In June a summary report of the initial findings was published, available to download for free from the full report Web page.
Since then, Workplace Law has compiled an in-depth report that includes extensive findings from the survey across the areas of leadership in FM including health and safety performance, human resources (HR), and environmental performance/sustainable FM.
The full Leadership in Facilities Management report, which comprises an exclusive and extensive breakdown and analysis of all the information the Workplace Law team received from its research, is now available to purchase from the Workplace Law Web site.
This year’s research helped the organization to confirm some of the issues highlighted in the focus groups and track some of the trends that the earlier research in 2012 first identified. Along with the output from last year’s study, a bank of information is being built about the perspectives and current performance of the profession upon which future surveys can build.
